Vilnius map 1:5000

In separate chapter we starting present Soviet maps in scale 1:5000 (period 1945-1991) on the territory of Lithuania (and part of Latvia). We starting with set of maps in scale 1:5000 on the city Vilnius and surroundings issued by the Main Administration of Geodesy and Cartography (Главное управление геодезии и картографии) under the USSR Council of Ministers.

It is about 1/3 territory of Lithuania coveraged by maps in scale 1:5000. Maps in scale 1:5000 mostly issued in Local coordinate system.
