1:200000 soviet maps In separate chapter we presenting Soviet maps in scale 1:200000 (1cm.-2km., 1945-1991). 24 maps in scale 1:200000 covering also territory of Lithuania. It is interesting that using soviet S1:200000 maps were released first Lithuanian maps in scale 1:200000 (1994-1995).

All maps and plans presented in full size. We would like to remind that still available exhibition Capital of Lithuania Vilnius on topographic maps and plans (XVII-XX c.) and Klaipėda on topographic maps and plans. New information supplemented chapters Topographical maps symbols and RKKA (Workers' and Paesants' Red army) maps in scale 1:50000. So RKKA maps in scale 1:50000 on territory of Lithuania were composed from old material, mostly old Russian maps (verst-scale maps), updating by newest available maps: inter-war Lithuanian maps, Polish WIG maps, Latvian inter-war maps. Interesting, that RKKA had originals of Lithuanian inter-war maps. In 1990-ies when was asked to return originals of inter-war Lithuanian maps as heritage, soviet officials answered that maps destroyed...

Soviet maps 1:10000 New information about soviet era 1:10000 (1cm. - 100 m.) maps supplemented new chapter 1:10000 soviet maps. It is interesting that maps in scale 1:10000 published only civil institutions, maps willingly used also militaries as additional source creating basic military map. Also interesting that relief layer from these maps we using till now...
